It's a very professional, streamlined GUI interface too. wav file (I like that), and it handles ALL the major email services (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.) Light weight, doesn't feel bulky, you CAN add your own email notification. :- Didn't carte for the THUNDERBIRD interface.
eM client turned out to be a 1 month trial. Pop peeper was cheap and easy, but too antiquated.

Opera Mail works well for basic email needs but lacks some of the advanced features found in other email clients. Opera Mail is a standalone email client that works with any POP3 or IMAP mail account, including Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail and others.
